As with most Suzuki Method programs participation in the Wherland Suzuki Studio involves
- daily home practice and listening to repertoire recordings,
- weekly private lessons,
- biweekly group classes, and
- quarterly student recitals.
Private lessons
Private lessons take place at my home studio and involve the parent as well as the child. To learn more about weekly private lessons please click here to read about the Suzuki Method, and click here to read the page about expectations for the parent, teacher and student at weekly lessons. Participation in a Suzuki program requires a large commitment on the part of the student as well as the parent so please read about the program and my expectations carefully to see if it will be a good fit for your family. I encourage prospective families to come observe private classes and group classes, there is no charge.
Group Classes
Group classes are held bimonthly at a Suzuki studio in downtown Redmond. They involve small groups of students who at the same level for a 45 minute class. To learn about group classes please follow this link.

Studio Recitals
Studio recitals are held quarterly at the Redmond Public Library. Students each perform a polished piece as a solo with piano accompaniment.
Please check the calendar for the next recital date. Please bring a snack to share and stay and chat with the other families in the studio. The recital is open to the public and will be held in a very large room so please invite family and friends.
If you know of other locations such as nursing homes, schools, community centers or religious centers that would be interested in having a student recital in their space please let me know. I am always looking for new places for formal and informal recitals.
