2026 WSS Summer Camps

WSS Chamber Music and Art Camp

Full day camp for intermediate to advanced violin, viola and cello students who also like visual art, AND art students.

Students will be grouped by playing level and assigned chamber pieces in advance. Each day includes dedicated chamber music rehearsals, music skill‑building sessions and art classes.

The art portion introduces elements of my Suzuki‑inspired art curriculum, which treats art as an expressive language. Students will explore elements of design, principles of composition, realism, and abstraction—first individually, then combined in personal projects using drawing, collage, or painting materials.

Non-music students can spend the full time on visual arts and will have materials and space for advanced projects.

Students in Book 4+ are welcome to attend both camps and will continue their chamber music work there.

One of the best parts of the Suzuki Method are its summer camps and Seattle happens to be home to one of the best Suzuki camps in the country.
Each day includes multiple group classes, a private lesson, reading classes or orchestra, faculty and student recitals, and enrichment classes like fiddling or drumming.
*All students under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. However, because this requirement has been reducing enrollment the camp now has a ‘buddy program’ where students in the same studio can attend with another student/parent at the same level so please let me know if you’re interested in going to the camp and we can see who we can pair together. We can also arrange a car pool with other families in the studio to reduce the driving.
